Three Rivers Power Sweep Featured in North American Sweeper Magazine
Three Rivers Power Sweep, Inc. is proud to be featured in North American Sweeper Magazine, an industry publication covering the people, companies, equipment, and developments shaping professional power sweeping across North America.
The feature takes an in-depth look at Three Rivers Power Sweep, company owner Leroy Stotler, and the experience behind a Pittsburgh-area business that has been operating since 1981.
For our team, being featured is more than an opportunity to tell our story. It is a chance to share some of the principles that have helped Three Rivers Power Sweep serve commercial, industrial, construction, municipal, and property management customers throughout the Pittsburgh region and greater central Pennsylvania for decades.

More Than 40 Years of Power Sweeping Experience
The North American Sweeper Magazine article traces the history of Three Rivers Power Sweep back to 1981. The business was incorporated in 1988 by Kathy Stotler and Linda Smith and has remained a family-owned company.
Current owner Leroy Stotler grew up around the business before pursuing a career in engineering, software, analysis, and computational fluids. When the opportunity eventually arose to purchase Three Rivers Power Sweep from his family, he returned to a business he had known since childhood.
That combination of hands-on industry experience and a technical background has helped shape the way Three Rivers approaches its work today.
The company has grown while remaining focused on practical, sustainable growth rather than simply getting bigger for the sake of getting bigger.
Serving Pittsburgh With a Diverse Range of Sweeping Services
One of the strengths highlighted in the magazine feature is the range of work performed by Three Rivers Power Sweep.
Today, our capabilities include parking lot sweeping, municipal sweeping, construction site sweeping, milling sweeping, industrial sweeping, retail sweeping, HOA and street sweeping, parking garage sweeping, pressure washing, pavement scrubbing, debris removal, portering services, and other property maintenance solutions.
That diversity allows Three Rivers to work with customers whose maintenance needs may extend far beyond a single parking lot.
Our fleet reflects those varied applications as well. North American Sweeper Magazine highlights a fleet that includes numerous sweeper trucks, support vehicles, and ride-on sweepers used for specialized applications such as indoor parking garage sweeping.
Investing in People, Training and Quality
Equipment is important in the power sweeping industry, but one of Leroy’s strongest messages in the North American Sweeper feature is that successful operations ultimately depend on people.
Three Rivers Power Sweep invests in operator training and supports sweeper driver certification through the North American Power Sweeping Association (NAPSA). Employees who complete additional training can earn incentives, while management and lead operators have participated in sweeper management training.
Quality control is another important part of the company’s approach.
Three Rivers uses tools including GPS tracking, photo documentation, vehicle cameras, customer communication, and internal quality evaluations to review work and address service concerns. The company has developed a performance rating process designed to give employees useful feedback while establishing measurable expectations for service quality.
The goal isn’t simply to identify problems. It’s to give employees the information and training they need to continue improving.
Growing Without Overpromising
The magazine feature also provides insight into a philosophy that has helped guide Three Rivers Power Sweep over the years: know what you do well and avoid promising customers something you cannot realistically deliver.
When a customer needs additional exterior property maintenance, the team determines whether the work makes sense to handle internally. When a project falls outside the company’s expertise, Three Rivers may help connect the customer with a trusted contractor rather than pretending to specialize in something it doesn’t.
That practical approach has helped Three Rivers build long-term customer relationships throughout the Pittsburgh market.
Proud to Represent Pittsburgh’s Power Sweeping Industry
Being featured by North American Sweeper Magazine gives Three Rivers Power Sweep an opportunity to share lessons learned through decades of operating in a demanding industry.
From a family business started in 1981 to today’s diversified power sweeping and property maintenance operation, a lot has changed. What hasn’t changed is the importance of dependable people, appropriate equipment, good training, responsive customer service, and a willingness to adapt.
We appreciate North American Sweeper Magazine taking the time to tell the Three Rivers story and allowing Leroy to share some of what he has learned along the way.
We also appreciate the customers, employees, partners, and Pittsburgh-area businesses that have helped make that story possible.
